The North American Law Center
Organizational Information 2020
The North American Law Center (TNALC.org) was originally started in 2011 as a division of The United States Patriots Union, (USPU 2009). The Patriots Union was organized as a citizen action group engaged in research, distribution of information, education and pro-constitution activism on issues involving local, state and federal governmental policy. Veteran Defenders of America (VDA) was inherited by USPU in March of 2011 to address issues of concern to Military Veterans, upon the passing of original VDA Founder Richard Van Waes.
TNALC (The North American Law Center) is NOT a law firm. Most of the researchers and investigators at TNALC are NOT lawyers. However, the formation of the organization included relationships with licensed attorneys, retired and practicing, as well as retired judges, state and federal, constitutional scholars, and both state and federal legislators. Because many legal firms lack the staff and expertise to perform these functions inhouse, TNALC often provides critical research and investigative work to enhance their case performance.
Due to an increasing public demand for independent Constitutional Law and Military Law research, investigations, and education initiatives, TNALC was created as a division of USPU to focus on all matters pertaining to either Constitutional or Military Law. Early TNALC engagement started with issues concerning Military Law, Rules of Engagement and investigative cases concerning current related events.
As an example, TNALC issued the very first comprehensive research on “illegal orders, Natural Born Citizen and Rules of Engagement” on behalf of the legal team representing the LTC Terry Laken defense. TNALC also issued the first comprehensive investigative reports on Benghazi, only days after the event and years before much of the information in the report eventually reached congressional hearings and public view.
TNALC issued the first comprehensive investigative report on the downing of Extortion 17 and SEAL TEAM 6 in Afghanistan, on behalf of the SEAL families who had been misled by Military and Government officials about the details of that event, much of which remains unknown by the public today, due to “fake news” selective reporting. Some of the TNALC research on Extortion 17 later appeared in the book “BETRAYED” by SEAL father Billy Vaughn. TNALC also provided questions for the Congressional Hearing on Extortion 17.
TNALC provided investigative research for parents of the U.S. contractors who were involved in the RAVEN 23 case, wherein four American (former military) contractors were falsely charged and convicted of crimes, while providing asset protection in post-Hussein Iraq, when their motorcade came under enemy assault.
USPU and VDA were closed down in 2017 due to lack of financial support. As time continued to evolve the need for this type of research, investigation and education, TNALC was eventually spun off to a stand-alone non-profit organization focused entirely on comprehensive research on these and other types of legal matters.
Over the years, TNALC has drafted a number of pieces of model legislation for both state and federal legislators. We have also provided critical research for legislators and law offices in numerous states, in support of their legislative pursuits and cases.
Every case TNALC has assisted with was brought to TNALC via word of mouth, referred by persons TNALC had assisted in the past. When all else fails and you need someone you can trust who is willing to help, people sooner or later are referred to TNALC.
Most recently, TNALC developed the legal strategy for challenging governmental authority to issue COVID19 rules and restrictions in May of 2020, Michigan. As is often the case, TNALC strategic proposals met with push-back from different attorney’s working separate cases on the ground, due to TNALC’s tight focus on “constitutional law” solutions, as opposed to Common Law arguments based on mere precedence and procedure.
In May of 2020, TNALC explained to everyone in contact with us from Michigan, that the State Supreme Court was the proper venue to challenge the orders of Governor Gretchen Whitmer, but most Michigan lawyers disagreed. It wasn’t until we made contact with A Michigan Constitutional Attorney, that we finally found someone who agreed with the TNALC constitutional approach.
On October 2, 2020, the Michigan Supreme Court heard those arguments, after a Federal Court Judge passed one of the Federal Court cases back to the State Supreme Court (for proper venue) which resulted in a 7-0 decision that all COVID orders issued by Governor Whitmer after April 30th, were “unlawful and unconstitutional” and null & void. Further, the challenge of the 1945 Act the Governor had been hiding behind to justify her orders, was declared “unlawful and unconstitutional” as well, never to be used again to strip the people of Michigan of their fundamental rights and liberties.
From investigations, research, legislative proposals and background education to assisting with legal cases, Constitutional, Military, Civil and Criminal, TNALC has been involved in some of the most high-profile cases in modern times, including the current procurement of eyewitness testimony of fraudulent activities in the 2020 elections.
TNALC is always working behind the scenes. Most have never heard of TNALC and that too, has been by design. The types of things we are often asked to engage in, require not only experience and expertise, but the ability to move quietly behind the scenes, never seeking fame, allowing those we work to assist, to always take the lead role in their own circumstances.
TNALC simply works to help others be more successful in their endeavors. TNALC is funded 100% by small citizen donors.
When actual legal counsel is necessary, TNALC can and will assist in the process of identifying the right counsel and make the necessary introduction and coordination.
TNALC’s foundational purpose is “to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them” by upholding, defending and enforcing the Rule of Constitutional Law in the United States.
